Krakow - Wadowice – Kalwaria Zebrzydowska – Zakopane – Czestochowa - Krakow

Before having taken over the Holy Seat as Pope John Paul II, Karol Wojtyla had lived in Krakow for four decades practically through his entire adult life until he became a Pope.

Here he spent his formative years as a student and then as a young priest, a theologian and a philosopher, a playwrighter and a poet.

And here he made most of the breathtaking ascent from the position of a humble curate at Krakow's church of St. Florian's through university professor, Krakow Bishop and Cardinal to the Vicar of Christ.

Day 1 Krakow
Arrival in Krakow, check in, dinner, overnight.

Day 2 Wadowice – Kalwaria Zebrzydowska
Breakfast, excursion to Wadowice, sightseeing of Wadowice, free time, trip to Kalwaria Zebrzydowska,dinner, overnight in Krakow.

Day 3 Krakow
Breakfast, sightseeing of Krakow, visit to the Shrine of Divine Mercy in Lagiewniki, Visit at the tomb of St. Faustina Kowalska and the Icon of the Lord's Grace Jesus, I trust Thee". On August 17, 2002 Pope John Paul II consecrated the sanctuary's basilica, dinner, overnight.

Day 4 Zakopane
Breakfast, drive to Zakopane. Visit to Sanctuary of Our Lady of Fatima at Krzeptowki built after assassination attempt on Pope in 1981. Walk along the Papal Tract (Chocholowska valley, Jarzabczy Potok, Szalasiki). Return to Krakow, dinner, overnight.

Day 5 Czestochowa – Krakow
Breakfast, drive to Czestochowa. Visit to Jasna Gora Sanctuary and Our Lady of Czestochowa chapel with the miraculous icon of Our Lady of Czestochowa and innumerable votive offerings displayed in the Sanctuary by piligrims, whose prayers were heard.
Return to the hotel, dinner, overnight. Breakfast, Krakow sightseeing
(Royal Tract), trip to Wieliczka Salt Mine, dinner at the salt mine, return to Krakow, overnight
